What’s up with the website? Where’s [X] pattern you used to have listed?
Glitchy Stitcher got put on the back burner while I went through grad school and did a cross-country move. Among other things, I needed to get the business set up to run from a different state.
If a pattern is missing, don’t worry, it’ll be back! I’m just in the slow process of verifying that all of my patterns continue to meet my personal standard. Any patterns that get modified will most likely not have significant visual changes, but rather the adjustment of a handful of stitches to minimize “confetti” (single stitches of a color that are located far away from other stitches of that color). You should be able to still access any patterns previously purchased, but if not, you’re always welcome to contact me.
Can you create a stitched item for me?
Probably not. One of the Taylor Swift album covers takes me approximately fifty hours to complete. If I charged only $7.25/hour, the cost of the finished product would be close to $350 (including the cost of supplies). Charging a more fair rate would increase the cost to around $1500.
Additionally, stitching projects for other people takes up time that I could be working on personal cross stitch projects or developing patterns for the site.
If you’re still interested in purchasing a finished project, you are welcome to contact me.
Can you design a pattern for me?
It depends. If you’d like to just suggest an idea that may or may not eventually show up on my shop, you can send me an email. If you would like me to create a pattern specifically for you according to your personal specifications, that’s not something I currently offer. There are suggestions and resources for designing patterns yourself on my resources page
Can I sell the finished projects I make with your patterns?
If you are selling them at a rate that respects your time as a stitcher, you may. I don’t want your work to be undervalued, just as I don’t want my work to be undervalued. Giving them as gifts is perfectly fine.
What’s your return and refund policy?
Because these are digital products that are delivered and available shortly after your transaction is processed, returns and refunds are unavailable. (See the Terms of Service.) If you have specific concerns regarding a pattern, please contact me.
